Everyone should read this book!

Wow! I have 7 children with FASD. We are always looking for good resources to help us explain this often confusing disorder to others.
This book is that resource. It is quick, concise, and so very informative without dumbing down the material or getting into too much technical jargon. I plan to order this book for a 12 year old with FASD to be read together with his caregivers. I am going over it with my children at home, as well.
I would love to have copies for our dentist's and doctor's offices to have available to their other patients. I think the schools could use copies for their teachers, assistants, and especially the special education departments.
The pictures are definitely worth 1000 words in this book. They do the perfect job of expressing the emotion and ideas shared in the book.
I recommend all FASD families get a copy and share it liberally with anyone who has a relationship with their kids. This book needs to get into as many hands as possible. Education is the much needed key to helping our kids function in society. This tool is the way to get that education to our society.

This is a good starter book on FASDs. Great for teens, young adults, and adults. Well written, easy to read, informative.

We enjoyed this book! Waited a long time for something geared to young teens, and developmentally young adults, easy to understand and brutally honest. "If you have FASD and someone asks you, 'What's wrong with you?' You can answer them simply, with, "I have a disability called FASD. You can look it up and read about it.'" YES!
