But not everyone is cheering for the happy couple. News of the upcoming nuptials has brought Lewis's old flame back to Tuscaloosa—and she's got a secret that could mean the end of Lewis's marriage…before it even begins.

From Booklist
Blake O’Hara Heart, raised to be poised and polished at all times, doesn’t know how much longer she can keep up the act. In the sequel to The Sassy Belles (2013), Blake finds herself planning her best friend’s wedding, working on a possible murder case, dodging her not-quite-yet ex-husband, and sneaking away for some private time with her new beau. After discovering a set of secrets that threatens at least two marriages, Blake’s livelihood, and some old loyalties, she’ll have to drop the perfect southern belle act and start looking for some answers. Albright works with the same core cast of characters she introduced in her first novel, set against a sweltering Tuscaloosa backdrop. Dripping with southern charm and colloquialisms, the novel once again proves Albright’s firsthand knowledge of southern culture. The women in Albright’s novels are especially well written—happy to challenge the status quo when necessary but also aware of that old adage, “You catch more flies with honey.” This delightfully campy and romantic read will satisfy fans of Mary Kay Andrews, Alexandra Potter, and Lisa Jewell. --Stephanie Turza

Review
"The Sassy Belles reminded me that the South is like no other place on earth. Kudos to Beth Albright for capturing its spirit so perfectly in this lighthearted debut novel." -Celia Rivenbark, New York Times bestselling author of We're Just Like You, Only Prettier

"By turns tender, witty, steamy, and sharp, Albright's debut novel proves she's a gifted storyteller with intimate knowledge of southern culture. This charming tale is tailor-made for fans of Mary Kay Andrews and Anne George." –Booklist on The Sassy Belles

"...with distinct nods to the strength of family, the friendship sisterhood and the indomitable Southern spirit...Albright's first novel is a frothy, frolicking story..." –Kirkus on The Sassy Belles

"Albright good-naturedly displays her inner redneck while steering this giddy Dixie romp with ease-leaving lots of room at the happy ending for another adventure starring these steel magnolias" –Publisher's Weekly on The Sassy Belles

"Dripping with southern charm and colloquialisms, the novel once again proves Albright's firsthand knowledge of southern culture. The women in Albright's novels are especially well written-happy to challenge the status quo when necessary but also aware of that old adage: 'You catch more flies with honey.' "The Sassy Belles are back and sassier than ever! ... With clever dialogue and richly drawn characters, Albright shows once again she's a natural-born storyteller who knows how to pen a charming tale. A great sequel!
By Susan Reynolds
[Taken from my blog Alabama Letters...]
I really love it when an author manages to write a sequel that is even better than the first novel in the series, and that is exactly what Beth Albright has done with Wedding Belles, the second book in the Sassy Belle's trilogy (to read the review of The Sassy Belles click HERE). I intended to write this post a couple of weeks ago. I met up with Beth Albright at the Romance Writers of America national conference in Atlanta in mid-July, and I was so excited to receive a copy of Wedding Belles! I wanted to get a review out in time for the release, but life got in the way! I finally had a chance to read it this weekend, and I really enjoyed it.

In Wedding Belles, we meet up with the same great characters from The Sassy Belles. In that book, Blake and husband Harry split up (well, for all intents and purposes!), Blake rekindled an old romance with town cop Sonny, Vivi found out lover Lewis wasn't dead, and much Dreamland BBQ sauce was shared by all involved. In this book, Albright picks up where she left off. Blake is tentatively dipping her feet into a relationship with Sonny--but will it work out? Vivi, five months pregnant with Lewis's child, is planning her wedding--but will a psychic's message about another woman in the picture prove true? And Dallas...well, Dallas is up to her usual shenanigans! (And, PS, I really want to see more of her in book 3!)

The book is just a lot of fun! We still get to experience the setting of Tuscaloosa, but I liked it much better in this book. The fever of the fall football season really comes through towards the end of the book, which is something I loved reading about! Also, I thought that the writing in this book was notably tighter than in the first novel. I really saw this come to pass in Blake's development as a character. I liked her in the first book, but I also like to see her struggle a little bit with her feelings. Overall, this book was a perfect sequel to The Sassy Belles!

A light and fun read with a touch of southern charm - adorable
By H. Barlow
This review was originally posted to my blog at [...]

I was received a copy of this book free of charge from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

WEDDING BELLES picks up a couple of months after THE SASSY BELLES. Vivi is 5 months pregnant and in the midst of planning her upcoming wedding to the Crimson Tides play by play announcer and new owner of the WCTR radio station, Lewis Heart.

While helping to plan Vivi's dream wedding, Blake is trying to hide the fact that her marriage has fallen apart, by playing the perfect wife to Harry as he runs for Senator. Blake is trying her best to hide the blossoming romance with Sonny to protect Harry from any bad tabloids, but Harry isn't holding up his end of the bargain and soon gets caught in a compromising position!

The fun really starts when Vivi and Lewis head over to the courthouse to finalize their wedding licence. Here they find out that Lewis's "fake" marriage back in college, may not be as fake as he and his "wife" thought. And when Blake discovers a connection with a murder case she is working on, Vivi and Lewis are put in danger.

The escapades of Lewis, Blake and Vivi are a riot! The wedding planners hired by Blake are hilarious and have some of the craziest ideas I've ever heard of!

While reading WEDDING BELLES, I laughed and teared up all within a few pages. I loved every moment, and didn't want it to end. I'm so glad that the Sassy Belles story continues with another installment.

And my favorite part of the whole book? The recipes included at the end. I'm yet to try them out but they sound delicious!

When I read THE SASSY BELLES a couple of months ago, I loved everything about it and couldn't wait to dig further into the lives of Blake and Vivi!

WEDDING BELLES lived up to my expectations and now I look forward to the third installment coming in September SLEIGH BELLES.

I would highly recommend WEDDING BELLES if you are looking for a light, fun read with a hint of southern charm. Blake and Vivi's characters are bubbly and adorable and there wasn't anything in this book not to love!

Dishing up more Southern love and laughs
By Margaret Ishler Bosse
Wedding
Belles captures all the frustations and excitement of a southern wedding mixed with intrigue about the groom's past and the crumbling marriage of Blake, the matron of honor. These Southern gals are a little crazy, a lot beautiful and smart, and they are fun to read about as they handle and mishandle life's adventures in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Of course, there is the handsome hunk police officer who gains a hold on Blake's heart as well as her body. All this is put together with lots of laughs that keep you guessing as to whether the wedding can happen with the outlandish Fru Fru Boys wedding planners' antics and the psychic reader's disturbing message. The book provided me with reading and taste pleasures as Albright included Southern recipes at the end of the book. This is a great book with its chuckles and romances for the beach or a cool patio read. I look forward to more sassy belles stories because even the "older" women have a lot of fun and give wise advice.
